A Fuzzy Risk Assessment Model for Small Scale Construction Work

Occupational risk assessment is important for providing employees with a safe and healthy work environment. When compared other industries, the construction industry poses higher accidents due to variety complexity of skills required different types in sector. Small-sized sites have occupational injury. Countries without safety health (OSH) enforcement pose an additional increasing need effective easy-to-apply approach. This research aims develop study easy apply model small-scale sites. The method includes opinions from experts on safety, checklists estimate possibility occurrence accidents, identification current site-specific levels, severity risk, barriers. uses both historical data fuzzy approaches calculate level was applied four North Cyprus. Results reveal each accident type aggregate Falling height identified as most common highest level. contributes development sustainable OSH management systems companies by highlighting measures that must be taken reduce accidents.
